At 8am we packed 5 dogs and 5 people into a small car.

Three dogs on the boot-shelf and the 2 dogs that get car-sick in the back and front seats.

All the dogs were hyper with seeing everyone and knowing they were going somewhere.

We had a bucket in the back for anyone that got carsick.  We started driving but there was a riot on the back shelf.

Jock’s tail is never still with all the wagging that he does.

His thumping became rather annoying, as he knocked on the window with his tail.

Humphrey wanted to play with Jock while Ksefi was getting cross with them both.

Harley was panting while Lilly was the only sensible one and sleeping.

We were driving for 2 hours and in the last 10 minutes we got lost and Harley threw up.

We tried to get the bucket in front of his mouth and we were not entirely successful!

We all rushed out of the car to get to our events, only to find out that our first event started after lunch.

My sister Claire and I went to get the entry numbers and we were given cooler bags with doggy treats.

After that we decided to practise and watch some events.

Then we had morning tea.

We met Sandy and Xerxes they weren’t competing but had come to meet friends.

Jean came over and talked to us too.

We also met Ron and Val with their three dogs Cliffie, Charity and Dimity.

I was our photographer which was good fun and I was competing as well.

We left for lunch when we realized our event wasn’t until after the lunch break.

We ordered chips, fish, popdog and iced coffee.

The dogs decided to sit up on the seat to try and get our attention so that they would get some food.

Sandy ended up having to wait 40 minutes to get her one piece of fish, while Claire and I got our fish straight away.

Claire and I realized our junior handlers’ event was about to start.

So, we raced to the car to get back.  We had to leave Sandy behind to let her finish eating her fish!

Margaret stayed behind with her to keep her company.

I competed in the Junior handler 8-under 12 years with Brooke Fleming, and 2 other kids.

I came fourth and got a ribbon.

My dog Harley kept on sitting down instead of standing up, because he was trained to sit when I stop walking.

Claire also won a ribbon for Junior Handler over 12 years.

Claire also took Ron and Val’s dogs Cliffie and Charity in some events.  She won a ribbon with both of them.

Ron said that Cliffie preferred being around females and he really liked Claire.

Sir Humphrey didn’t compete because he dislikes being handled by the judges.

All four of us had to compete in Companion Dog event.

There was a bit of rivalry going on, but we all let it go when we left for home.

We were very tired at the end.

I decided to have a rest sitting in a tree with Harley while the others packed everything into the car.

Everyone in the backseat of the car slept including the dogs.

It was a terrific day everyone enjoyed it and I don’t think anyone left feeling sad or unhappy.
